The SecureAsi@ Workshop strengthened cybersecurity capabilities of network engineers and administrators across AsiaConnect partner countries. Jointly organized by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysian Research and Education Network (MYREN), and University of Hamburg (UH), this intensive three-day training empowered participants to detect, manage, and mitigate cybersecurity threats in their National Research and Education Networks (NRENs).

Participants learned to secure NREN infrastructure using advanced tools and techniques including IDS, honeypots, firewalls, and ethical hacking methodologies.
The workshop created a strong network among cybersecurity professionals across 13 AsiaConnect countries, fostering ongoing collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Delivered a replicable cybersecurity training model combining theoretical knowledge, practical application, and peer learning opportunities.
